Class Experience

In this one time class, young chefs will create a beautiful layered dessert using only 4 ingredients! This is my friend Adele's recipe and it's so delicious and refreshing! These No-Bake Lime Icebox Mini Cakes are the perfect treat for Summer BBQs, family potlucks, or impressive everyday dessert! Your learner will be surprised that a mixture of goo and a few cookies transform in the fridge to become like a cake! During class, we will start with a short introduction of learners, review materials and ingredients, then dive into the recipe. I enjoy hearing questions and anecdotes from learners so no all mute class here! I will be actively demonstrating and making the treat alongside the young chefs. I will be actively checking progress along the way to ensure your child's success! This is the perfect class for a beginner in the kitchen! No previous experience or knowledge is required! Parental guidance may be needed for some learners as we will be using a blender in this class.

Supply List
Ingredients:
14oz can sweetened condensed milk
12 oz can evaporated milk
About 1/2 cup lime juice, about 5-6 (about 10 of the tiny key limes) limes halved to juice--we will juice during class (can use bottled if needed)
About 1.5 sleeves Goya Brand Maria cookies, I find these at Aldi for about 70 cents a sleeve, Walmart has a version too several sleeves in a bigger package. If these are too hard to find in your area, plain graham crackers work well!

Blender
Rubber Spatula
1 Tablespoon Measuring Spoon
About 8 small glasses or small dishes for serving, Small plastic punch glasses work great too!
Plastic Wrap

Optional: Apron, towel to wipe hands, tray or cookie sheet to help assemble and transfer cups, Whipped Topping and Lime Juice to top refrigerated desserts
