Class Experience

In this course students will make 2 different types of no bake dog treats. We will practice measuring out ingredients. We will discuss a little about ingredient variations to make new flavors. This will be a very basic discussion, such as you can use bananas instead of strawberries in a recipe like this. Students will need to be able to use the microwave for some of the recipes. Students and I will work side by side in a live video to make these treats. We will make doggy ice cream and molded treats. Please make sure to review the supply list before registering for the course!

Supply List
Dog safe peanut butter (no xylitol, it is toxic to dogs)

Pure unpressed Coconut Oil (Amazon link showing example of what you need) https://www.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Organic-Virgin-Coconut/dp/B06VZ3SRGD/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=unprocessed+coconut+oil&qid=1592018289&sprefix=unprocessed+coconut+oil&sr=8-5

*** Please note, that coconut oil cannot be substituted for other kinds of oil***

Banana
plain low fat yogurt OR unsweetened plain applesauce. You do not need both! Make sure it is plain flavor, vanilla flavor has vanilla extract in it, which has alcohol in it and is NOT safe for dogs, it can make them sick
measuring cups
bowls for mixing
ice cube trays or small containers that can go in the freezer (for the icecream)
silicon tray to use as mold- any shape is fine, just make sure they are the size you would like for a treat for your dog.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have an animal rescue, and I love to make homemade dog treats for my dogs. I prefer homemade dog treats over store bought treats because the ingredients are minimal and are safer for the dogs.
