In this ongoing, weekly class we will draw a new Nintendo character every week from beginning to end, including pencilling, inking and colouring, in a fun and supportive atmosphere. The class is fun and lively and I encourage questions and comments from the students and I love hearing about what games the kids are playing and the Nintendo trivia and facts they know. At the end of each class there is an opportunity for students to share their artwork with the class- but there is no pressure to share if they don't feel like it. No experience is required but some experience with drawing is helpful. The main thing is a good attitude and willingness to learn.

Parental Guidance
All characters will be drawn from Nintendo games the students are familiar with and age appropriate. Some characters may carry swords or bows and arrows but there is no blood or gore in any of the images.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I've been a professional illustrator and childrens art and drawing teacher for the past 10 years and I love sharing my passion for art with young artists. I teach in a step by step, construction method of drawing that doesn't rely on gimmicks but teaches the kids the 'real deal' fundamentals of drawing. We start with simple shapes and construction lines and build up to the finer details until adding the 'icing on the cake' by inking and colouring the final image.Reviews
