US Grade 6 - 9
Have you seen or read about any of these vital characters in fantasy fiction? Learning more about the nine most commonly seen characters in fantasy fiction will help us to more deeply understand their motivations and purposes, as well as the structure of fantasy fiction stories. We'll get to know The Hero, The Villain, The Sidekick, The Love Interest, The Friendly Creature, The Evil Creature, The Mentor, The Other Hero, and The Reluctant Villain. There will also be three quick-writes written and shared with one another. Through these quick-writes, students can create characters for their own fantasy fiction tales! This also gives us a safe place to share our unique ideas and styles while encouraging one another to keep on dreaming! Remember, we are all expanding our knowledge together (including the teacher). I'm looking forward to learning with you! Mrs. Rae Marie (M.Ed.) (Writing, Poetry, Fantasy Fiction, ACE Educator)
Learning Goals

Master's Degree in Education from LeTourneau University
I've taught reading and writing to multiple ages for several years, and I also have served as an instructional coach.
I absolutely love to write and share the joy of writing, and I've taught writing for several years. I understand that writing isn't everyone's cup of tea, so I am beyond happy to share some ways to bring your words to the surface. Oftentimes, it's just a matter of sorting out what's happening in your brain and getting it to come out in the right order. I'm here for you!
