NHL hockey lovers unite! This class is led by a diehard hockey fan, and is a safe space where students can meet likeminded peers and talk about all things hockey. In this weekly class, we discuss recent games, our favourite teams, current events in the NHL (let’s talk about trades!), player stats and more. We talk about our opinions on what’s happening on and off the ice with our favourite and least favourite teams! Join us for this fun and interactive weekly class to talk about all things hockey. We have discussions, play games, trivia and test each other’s knowledge in this positive and encouraging space. Class breakdown: Please note that the session topics will be dictated weekly due to current events/happening in the NHL, so there is no weekly breakdown for this course. Students may choose to keep up to date with current games and events by their local NHL subscription or watching game highlights on YouTube, but this is not necessary for the course as we will recap the weekly events at the beginning of each class. Students can expect to discuss current events for the first 20 minutes of class, and the last 10 minutes of class will be a short and intriguing history lesson, trivia or game on current and past NHL games.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of the NHL, gain knowledge and meet likeminded people to discuss a sport that they love.

Hi! I'm Nick. I'm a semi-professional skateboarder from Vancouver, Canada. I have 15+ years of recreational skateboarding experience combined with 10+ years of professional skateboarding experience. Skateboarding has taken me all around the world!
I have taught students of all ages - from teaching English in Cambodia, as well as teaching skateboarding in Australia and Canada alike. I believe in keeping an inclusive and encouraging classroom. I know how intimidating learning a new skill can be, that's why I'm extra patient and kind with my learners and will always take the extra time to make sure my students succeed.
