Class Experience

In this class, we will discuss all things fantasy football! We’ll start by discussing some of the most recent fantasy-relevant news, kindly debate on the importance of certain moves, dive into different fantasy league formats, and draft as a team! We’ll collaborate with one-another and put our minds to the test! We will enter a fantasy football draft simulator and receive a grade, striving for the elusive, spectacular A+ grade.

The team will have a student-led discussion about the biggest storylines of the upcoming NFL week. I will conduct the class and ensure that the discussion is free-flowing, appropriate, and fun! Watching each and every game is not necessary, but an added bonus. My goal is for everyone to be included in the conversation, consider ideas from one another, and work as a team to draft the best fantasy team ever! Feel free to wear your favorite jersey!

Some activities we may do in class are:
Ranking Players
Discussing certain positions
Discussing certain philosophies
Drafting a fantasy football team

Parental Guidance
Football is a contact sport and can lead to gruesome injuries. Typically, the broadcast team will flip to a different image and not zoom in on graphic injuries, but they do sometimes occur and appear during the broadcast. For more information on the NFL please look at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065323/parentalguide We will be using the fantasy pros mock draft simulator to practice our different fantasy football draft strategies. We will never leave this page and we will only be utilizing it to practice and implement different fantasy football draft strategies. https://draftwizard.fantasypros.com/football/mock-draft-simulator/live/

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have played, coached, and now analyzed football for the past 20 years. As a coach I was able to coach every position and team at the High School Varsity level. I also had extensive practice with breaking down team and opponent scouting film. This led to my current position where I work for a football analytics company where I analyze and input data of different football teams in the NFL and NCAA.
