Homework
4+ hours per week. I'll give students something to practice for the next lesson each time we meet. How long it takes really depends on the student's level of playing, what they are learning, and how fast they want to progress. Students who are more advanced and seeking to progress at a faster rate might practice 1.5-2 hours a day; whereas some younger beginner students may only practice for an hour a day. 1 hour, 5 days a week is the minimum I suggest to see improvement.
Assessment
If a student chooses to sign up for continuous lessons, I evaluate them based on individual improvement. Each lesson, I will give students skills to practice for the next lesson. Once a student has learned a skill, I'll teach them what's next. I ask my students to practice consistently because that is how you improve. If a student practices but isn't able to master a new skill in a week, that is completely okay and normal. In music, everyone has skills that come more easily to them or that are more difficult for them. This is the advantage of individual lessons, each student get's to move at their own pace!

Class Experience

This class is for more advanced and intermediate level students and is by request or teacher recommendation only.

Lessons are structured around each student's learning needs and allows students to progress at their own pace. On the first lesson, I'll evaluate the student's playing and ask them questions about what they want to learn. This is how I determine what to teach each student. Lessons are different than regular classes because it allows me to track a student's learning progress on an individual basis and focus each lesson on what the student wants to learn or needs help with.

My teaching style is very laid back, and I like to give space for students to ask questions and give input about their learning interests. When I teach guitar, I ask students to bring their instruments to class so they can practice and receive feedback. With music I find that students learn best by doing. No prior knowledge or experience is required. Wherever you're at in your guitar journey, I'm here to help you reach your goals!

REFUND POLICY
- Full refunds are offered for 24h notice that a student cannot attend class.
- Refunds are not offered for missed classes without 24h notice.
- Reschedule options are only available for 24h notice. Please note that reschedule availability depends on the teacher's schedule at the time, which fluctuates from week to week.

Learning Goals

Depends on the student. I ask students to practice each week for a minimum of 1 hour a day for five days a week. The goal is to practice the skills we work on in each lesson and to keep improving! Since this class is longer than my regular 35 minute lessons and designed for students who want to progress faster, students may have more to work on each week.
