Class Experience

In this weekly class, learners will find and share interesting current news stories or events focusing on biological topic.

Topics can vary depending on learner interest and can include but are not limited to: 
Molecular biology, genetics, microbes, biology, ecology, environmental Science, climate change, botany, parasitology, virology, ornithology

Some of the questions that we can discuss in class on the stories or current events presented include:

Dr. Lopez earned a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and has over 10 years of research experience.

Optional: Leaners can find current events to share in class including newspaper clip, scientific magazine/journal article, online article/report of any length.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
