In this 30 minute class, students will create a New Year’s craft, set goals for the New Year and end with a dance party! First, we will discuss what the New Year is and how people celebrate it around the world. Then, we will complete a New Year's craft where students will create a 2021 party hat to use when celebrating the New Year. After that, we will discuss how people set goals to achieve in the New Year. We will go over some age appropriate goals (read 2 books a week, help a grown up at home with dishes, visit 3 new parks, etc.) and list those down in our goal tracker. Finally, we will end our New Year's celebration with a dance party!

Students will learn how people around the world celebrate the New Year, learn how to set goals and use their fine motor skills to create a party hat.

Supply List
-Blank white paper (Computer paper) - 2-5 sheets -Pencil with eraser -Drawing utensils (Markers, Crayons, and/or Colored Pencils) -Scissors -Glue or Tape -String (Optional - but useful to keep party hat on)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
