New Year Bullet Journal Camp

Average rating:4.8Number of reviews:(18)
In this multi-day course, students will meet daily over the winter holidays to plan their bullet journals for the new year.

Class experience

Students will create and keep a 2022 bullet journal, a lifelong practice that can help with time management, make and meet goals, stay on top of pending tasks, unpacking feelings, and encourage new things to learn, watch, read, or try in the future.
I have taught high school art for ten years and have a Master of Art Education. Before my career as a teacher, I was a professional graphic designer for five years for the Love Advertising agency and the Houston Chronicle. Students will view visual examples of designs of Bullet Journals from around the world. I do not believe this is a sensitive or high-risk topic but have made every effort to be transparent with all expectations in this course.
Homework Offered
Gather inspiration from the internet for each section of the bullet journal for each day of the camp. Finishing sections in a bullet journal can take as much or as little time as each student wants. It can be done in as little as ten to fifteen minutes a day, or if they love to draw, an hour or two.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
There is not a formal assessment for this class. I will offer an informal appraisal of how each student can further expand skills on their own during the creative process.
Grades Offered
One Gridded or Dot Gridded Journal/Notebook
Pens
Sharpie
Pencils
Highlighters
Markers
Eraser
Ruler
Optional: Washi Tape and Brush Lettering Pens/Markers
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
I remind all students before class that comments during the discussion are to be kept positive. I will be discussing difficulties and hindrances I have faced overcoming an accident that changed my life and how a bullet journal helped me set goals, stay on top of what I needed to do, and keep a positive mindset through a very trying time.
Pinterest, Google Images, and Instagram will be used as visual references and inspiration.
