Class Experience

In this ongoing course, students will learn the Spanish vocabulary based on a weekly theme! This is a beginner level course. No prior knowledge of Spanish is necessary! Students will practice using the new vocabulary to play games in a fun, interactive, theme based format! The course will use slides, activities  in pairs or small groups, and engage in activities with new vocabulary in target language!

Weekly vocabulary themes will include: 

Week 1-  Theme 29 -  Getting to know you
Week 2 - Theme 30 - Numbers and Telling Time
Week 3 - Theme 31 - Days of the Week & Months of the year
Week 4 - Theme 32 - Morning Routine & Breakfast
Week 5 - Theme 33 - Lunch Time Fun
Week 6 - Theme 34 - Dinner Time! 
Week 7 - Theme 35 - After School 
Week 8 - Theme 36 -  Winter Time
Week 9 - Theme 37 - A Trip to the Mountains
Week 10 - Theme 38 - A Trip to the Beach
Learning Goals
Students will learn themed vocabulary to practice and expand their vocabulary in Spanish! Each class will include games in Spanish using the themed vocabulary! No prior knowledge of Spanish is required to have fun and be successful in this course! Yay!

Supply List
Print the vocabulary sheet for the week. The PDF will be made available in the classroom before the live class. If the weekly theme has game sheets, those will be posted in the classroom as well. Fun!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish. I taught Spanish at a traditional public middle school for 11 years and at a traditional public high school for 3 years. Currently, I am the administrative supervisor and instructional leader of the World Languages Department at a traditional public high school. I have experience teaching all core content areas at the elementary level in a traditional school classroom, as well as in a bilingual classroom.
