In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Each individual learner will learn how to complete a Self-Evaluation and set improvement goals after their presentations. As a class, we will learn how to actively listen and give Peer Feedback each presentation using various sharing methods (Zoom chat, Jamboard, & verbally). The educator will also provide feedback with the learners during the live class as part of modeling & for each presenter to note. If needed, more detailed feedback will be provided via private message by the end of each day.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
+GOOGLE DOCS: Worksheets will be shared in our classroom that will need to be printed (PDF) or copied via Google Docs (Google Account required) for the learner to type in.
+GOOGLE SLIDES: Educator screen-share only for lesson content.
+GOOGLE JAMBOARD: Learner-used & Google Account required. If a learner cannot access an account, they can still share feedback in the Zoom Chat.
+ORDER SELECTOR: If needed, we will be selecting a random speaker order using an educator only screen-share option. Sample here: https://wheelofnames.com/3mr-xv6.
+TW NOTE: Sometimes, during classes of this nature with a lot of personal sharing & learners having free choice, sensitive or triggering topics might arise. If this happens, I am experienced at pausing & redirecting when necessary. However, if I am unable to redirect quickly & learners hear/discuss something in significant detail, I will send a message after class to the parents/guardians with a brief scenario as a heads up.
