Students will go on a reading adventure to Neverland for each interactive class. Then, students will write to a prompt and create an illustration based on their reading.

Have you ever wondered what traveling to Neverland would be like? What would it be like to meet Tinkerbell? The magical chapter book series called " The Never Girls" by Kiki Thorpe, shows how in the blink of an eye, four good friends are whisked off to this enchanted place called Neverland where they will have many exciting adventures! Kate, loves taking risks, Mia loves dressing up fancy, Lainey loves animals, and Gabby is a true believer in FAIRIES! Suddenly, they are in a new world....will they ever get back home?? In this summer book club, we will first read a chapter together. Next, students will express their thoughts in a writing journal based on the events read. Finally, students will begin a illustration inspired by the chapter to share in the following class. Creativity will be encouraged and praised.

I have three amazing kids of my own, who range in age from 10 to 19. My husband and I love to travel with our kids and make fun memories together. Trips to the beach are my favorite!
I plan to teach a variety of lessons that incorporate music, movement, art, reading and writing to reach all types of learners.
