In our class together, learners will be exploring rainbows, a phenomenon we observe in nature. Each learner will be able to actively participate during the class by sharing their prior knowledge through discussions and drawings. An informative slideshow presentation will be presented to explain concepts, such as light waves, refraction, and reflection. After completing this class learners will be able to: ❈ Demonstrate the concepts of refraction and reflection ❈ Explain the connection between wavelengths and visible colors ❈ Describe the actual shape of rainbows ❈ Recite various types of rainbows ❈ Identify some places rainbows are seen in nature
The learners will need a few sheets of blank white paper and coloring utensils (a box of crayons, pack of colored pencils, or pack of markers).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
