I have been teaching nature study since 2017, teaching both in-person and online. Before that, I worked at the Virginia Living Museum - a local nature museum - teaching children and adults about native animals and plants and their importance in the ecosystem. And before even that, I was the science-obsessed kid in school who had a shelf full of nature guides and spent all her free time in the woods or reading about birds and mushrooms and plants. I have been camping and hiking and foraging for most of my life and know the wilderness of the United States like the back of my hand (especially the southeast) and love teaching others about it and how to appreciate it.
