Class Experience
This is an interactive and guided nature-themed circle time for 2nd and 3rd grade. Students may bring any nature themed item for "Show and Tell." The item may be an interesting object (ex: rock, leaf,or insect) or a drawing, photograph, or brochure/souvenir from a natural setting the child has visited. Children will take turns presenting and talking about their item. The teacher will facilitate appropriate turn-taking, presentation, question and answer, discussion, and...
Students will practice and improve oral communication and public speaking confidence. Students will practice and improve interpersonal and classroom socials skills such as taking turns, active listening, asking appropriate questions and encouraging others. Students will learn more about nature items that are brought to class. Students will cultivate a love and appreciation of nature.
Students should bring to class a nature themed object to share.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
