In this one-time class, let's explore the wonderful world of marsupials! We'll learn about kangaroos, koalas, wombats, sugar gliders, Tasmanian devils, opossums, and more. We'll discuss how they live, what they eat, how they make babies, and tons of fun facts about these fascinating creatures. Marsupials are similar to mammals, but have their own unique differences. Let's explore what makes them special through science, discussion, and photos/videos. I believe in the power of discussion and visual aids to support learning. My classes are discussion based, and students are encouraged to ask questions and share their ideas in an open and safe environment. I look forward to having you in my classroom!

Hello! My name is Samantha and I am passionate about connecting with others and creating community through learning. I have been a teacher (pre-K through 12) at both in-person homeschooling co-ops as well as online platforms for over six years now, and I absolutely love any topics related to the environment, biology, nature sciences, art, and yoga/mindfulness/meditation. I especially believe in the power of art as a way of processing and learning information, so many of my classes are a fusion of science/biology + art.
It is very important to me that learning should be interesting and FUN! I focus on interactive classes from a large range of topics that are discussion-based, engaging, and cater to every student's needs. I have a large toolbox of methods and ideas that I use to help each student feel comfortable, safe to explore their curiosity, and connected to their learning experience.
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology as well as a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Sciences, and my passion is to share my love for the world, humanity, and this Earth with our youth. They are our future! I know that during these trying times, it is important that our children continue to learn about the world and connect with others. It is my hope to create an online community of creativity, curiosity, and connection together. Technology is a wonderful thing, and I am grateful for this platform to share and learn virtually!
