Nature Journaling: Mindfulness, Art and Nature
In this class, students will practice the mindfulness activity, Nature Journaling. Each week, students will be asked to complete a different activity and record it in their nature journal. Students will tune into their senses each class.

Description
Class Experience
In this ongoing class, students will asked to complete different activities while nature journaling. The first several weeks of Mindfulness include: Week of 1/9/23: Pick A Tree Week of 1/16/23: Sound Map Week of 1/23/23: Bird Watching Week of 1/30/23: What's In The Grass Week of 2/6/23: Sit Spot Week of 2/13/23: Seasonal observations Classes will follow this rotation, but every experience in nature is different each week. I have a Forest Teacher certification from the Forest Teacher Institute and I currently own and direct a Nature School, The Woods Forest School.
-Nature Journal- can be any kind of journal to keep all their observations in. Watercolor journals are great! -Something to write or paint with (color pencils, pencil, watercolor paints) -Nature (these classes require your learner to be outside to listen, smell and feel the outdoors)
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
