An opportunity for kids to share, learn, and identify things they observe or collect out in nature with other like-minded nature adventurers.

Class experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 1
The students will build their public speaking skills and develop an understanding of natural history.
I have been exploring the outdoors and collecting natural wonders since I was a kid. Throughout the past 20 years of my adult life I have been a naturalist and educator at several nature centers and a museum, as well almost a decade as a Preschool-6th grade classroom science teacher. There is no end to what kids (and sometimes their parents) bring to the science teacher for information and identification! Over the years I have enthusiastically learned alongside my students about tadpoles, animal bones, antlers, butterfly wings, leaves, fungus, wasp nests, crispy starch from the side of the pasta pot, etc., etc.
At times we may refer to nature field guides, such as National Audubon Society Field Guides, Peterson's Field Guides, The Sibley Guide to Birds, Newcomb's Wildflower Guide, etc.
