Class Experience

Learners will gain a basic understanding and knowledge of patterns in nature including the basic concept of the perfect spiral sequence called the Fibonacci Sequence. 
As a certified elementary teacher, homeschool mom, and nature enthusiast, I am eager to share my knowledge and passion of the wonderful world around us.
Optional:  Learners are encouraged to go on a pattern hunt in nature. 
1. 1-2 NATURE OBJECTS: Ideas such as but not limited to: seashell, sand dollar, pinecone, flower, leaf 2. WHITE PAPER to draw, sketch, and write on. It can be in the form a single sheet of paper or in a notebook. Unlined is best but not necessary. 3. WRITING TOOL such as a pencil, colored pencils, or crayons.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
During class, learners are encouraged to draw examples of what they learn and share at the end of class.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Learners are encouraged to get out in nature and "hunt" for patterns.  Please take appropriate caution for your learner.
