Class experience
This ongoing subscription class is a weekly drop-in course where we will practice and share different art techniques and create our own nature journals together. Since this class is set up as an ongoing class and is not progressive, you are not required to attend all weekly classes. You can start and stop your subscription at any time! As an experienced art teacher and professional artist, I enjoy teaching young ones to discover and explore their artistic talents. My watercolor painting classes on Outschool have been very popular and successful, and I teach nature journaling through a private homeschooling group.
- A heavy duty mixed media journal, any size (smaller notebooks will be more portable but larger books are fine as well). I recommend purchasing a spiral-bound notebook with watercolor paper or "mixed media" paper (heavyweight art paper). - I recommend having a variety of mediums available, including: watercolor paints (any brand), colored pencils, watercolor pencils, pencils, pens, markers, crayons, glue, scrap paper, tissue and construction paper, oil pastels, glue, etc. - Binder clips to hold down notebook pages - Newspaper and paper towels, water and paintbrushes
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
