Description

Class Experience

If you want your children to save the earth you first have to teach them to LOVE it!

In this 4 week camp we will develop inquiry skills as we learn about insects, plants, birds and animals that live in the woods and ponds. 

Each day we will meet to socialize, exercise our minds and bodies, craft and learn something new! We will also engage in a craft, science based activity or fine art activity each day with friends from all over the world. 

Children will have an opportunity to enjoy...

Students will have an opportunity to gain social skills, develop a sense of inquiry, enjoy hands on art activities and grow in a supportive environment.

Children may use their journals to sketch about what we learned in class. If they wish to document additional observations after class, they may; however, children are not required to provide additional documentation outside of class time. Children may also wish to continue painting after class on our watercolor painting day.

You will receive a multi page handout from the teacher on the first day of class that contains an overview of daily projects for the 4 weeks we will meet, along with our song and journal.
 
Scissors (May require parental supervision for scissor use)
Magnifying glass
Leaves, rocks, shells, natural materials found outside in your environment
Crayons or colored pencils
Watercolor paper, water color paints, paint brush
Play dough
Construction paper
Glue stick

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

2 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Scissors are needed for some of our projects. (May require parental supervision for scissor use)
