Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to count, identify geometric shapes, create patterns, take measurements, analyze data, and add and subtract.
I am a certified teacher and taught kindergarten for five years in the public school system. My students always enjoyed learning with tangible objects and math manipulatives as they learned math concepts. They did best learning with concrete objects before moving to abstract concepts. Combining hands-on learning with nature helps keep interest and motivates students to learn.
All supplies will come from the student's weekly nature walks. Examples include rocks, sticks, flowers, grass, leaves, pinecones, etc.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
