Class Experience

Summary of Nat Enough: Making friends isn't easy, but losing them is even harder! Natalie has never felt that she's enough -- athletic enough, stylish enough, or talented enough. And on the first day of middle school, Natalie discovers that things are worse than she thought -- now she's not even cool enough for her best friend, Lily! As Natalie tries to get her best friend back, she learns more about her true self and natural talents. If Natalie can focus on who she is rather than who she...

Students will learn to infer character traits and give evidence to support their answer.
Students will make inferences using clues from the text.
Students will infer the theme of the text using evidence from the text.

Students will be assigned chapters to read prior to each class, approximately 40-50 pages.  However, the text is a graphic novel, so the text is high readability and not cumbersome.  Students will also be given discussion questions prior to class.  It is not necessary for students to write answers to these questions (although they can), however they need to come ready to discuss.

Blooket

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Note:  Students do not need an account for Blooket; I will provide link and game code.  We will be using this website to play a game that reviews content from students' reading for the day.
