Nat Enough Graphic Novel Book Club for Tweens

In this graphic novel book club, we will analyze the characters Nat and Lily, identify evidence to support our analysis, make inferences about events in the book, and identify themes of the book based on events.  We will do this through Nearpod interactive software and discussions.  

Students will complete the assigned readings prior to class.  Students will also be given discussion questions prior to the lesson, so he/she can come prepared to discuss.  We will also have a focus/topic for the day (character analysis, theme, etc), and then we will end the class with fun game of Blooket to review the assigned reading for the day. 

Schedule:
Day 1: Nat Enough, All About Me Section, Chapters 1-4
Day 2: Nat Enough, Chapters 5-8
Day 3: Nat Enough, Chapters 9-12
Day 4: Nat Enough, Chapters 13-17

My goal as a teacher is to make learning fun, relevant, and engaging for students!  It is important for students to make personal connections to content, so they can take ownership in their learning.  Knowing that children learn in many different ways, I incorporate a variety of learning strategies and activities to reach all learners.
