▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🌌 What We’ll Do 🌌 ▬▬▬▬▬▬

In this ongoing weekly course, we’ll explore 40 NASA-focused and other space-based career options. Join us for captivating interactive activities and multimedia presentations exploring NASA's space pioneers and future prospects. Through lively sessions, vivid discussions, carefully curated video clips, and engaging hands-on projects, we'll discover the skills and passion needed to contribute to humanity's quest to reach the stars. We’ll answer all the big questions and delve into the minute details to bring each mission to life. We’ll take on team projects as a class and work solo to complete missions from multiple unique perspectives.

Each week, we’ll also have a show-and-share session where students can proudly display their projects, big ideas, and space memorabilia. It’s a chance for them to showcase their creativity and discoveries, and to celebrate their space exploration journey with peers.

Students will take part in engaging missions that bring space exploration to life, such as:

👨‍🚀 Mission Control Simulation: Role-playing as mission control specialists for a simulated space mission. Monitor vital signs, make decisions in real-time, and solve unexpected challenges that arise during the mission.

👨‍🚀 Design Your Own Spacesuit: We’ll learn about the materials and engineering behind spacesuits and then imagine and create a design for a spacesuit suitable for exploring distant planets or surviving in the vacuum of space.

👨‍🚀 Create a Meal Plan for Astronauts: Discover what astronauts eat in zero gravity and their specific dietary needs in space. We’ll design nutritious and delicious meals that meet the unique requirements of astronauts during space missions.

These projects, along with others we’ll delve into, will help students understand the complexities of space exploration and the diverse roles involved. Students will engage in active discussions after each project is complete, inspiring them to consider future opportunities in the space industry.
