Description

Class Experience

Using developed characters from a popular anime and manga, students will learn to create a short story based on their favorite character. Students will follow the steps of the creative writing process to reach a final draft of their completed short story. Learners should expect to interact with classmates, share ideas, give and receive constructive criticism about their work and that of their peers. Students need to have background knowledge of either the manga or anime to be familiar with...

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 4+ hours per week outside of class.

Parents are welcome to sit in on the first and final class as an audience member. The stories created may not be the perfect academic writing.  The writers will be able to take creative lenience to enhance the story, just as many of your favorite authors had done.
