Class Experience

CLASS EXPERIENCE:
MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION. This edition can be played on PC, Android, and iOS. We will NOT be using Minecraft Java Edition.

AGE RANGE:
This class is designed for all ages and skill levels. Basic knowledge of English and Computers will be highly beneficial. Prior experience with Minecraft is not required.

CLASS OVERVIEW:
In this class we will be learning about the life of Napoleon Bonaparte. We will bring this history to life by using the video game of Minecraft. Napoleon...

In this lesson we will explore the city of Paris. This will give us a unique insight into what life was like during the time of Napoleon. We will explore his life in detail and see how he rose to be the most powerful man in France. We will see how he shaped Europe forever.

I have been teaching for over 8 years now. I have taught many different subjects to many different students. I am a fully qualified teacher who specializes in teaching history. My Bachelor Degree is in History and I have taken multiple child protection courses.

Homework Offered
No mandatory homework will be given. Optional challenges and additional reading will be provided for those that want to learn more. Minecraft gives students the opportunity to learn and explore History on their own.

A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. 
Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work.
A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Minecraft

Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.

Gamer tags will be required for this class. Please send me gamer tags over private message. Never share the gamer tag over the classroom chat. Messages in the classroom chat of this nature will be deleted. This is to insure protection of personal information.

Various primary and secondary sources will be used during this lesson to show differing views. Encyclopedia Britannica will be on of the main secondary sources consulted.
