Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Education: BA in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Communication and minors in Philosophy and Theology from the University of St. Thomas

Experience: More than 9 years as a homeschool parent, more than 30 years of being an avid reader, 3 years of writing fiction while meeting with published authors to discuss different aspects of writing and books, high school-level classes taught on this platform in addition to several classes taught on the aspects of writing on Outschool as well as at local libraries for more than 2 years, I am also a Municipal Liaison for the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) program and a freelance editor for independent authors
Chapters should be read prior to class so that they can be discussed on the day of class. 

Class 1: Chapter 1 - Chapter 5 (pages 1-42)

Class 2: Chapters 6 - 11 (pages 43-92)

Class 3: Chapters 12 - 15 (pages937-131)

Class 4: Chapters 16 - 20 (pages 132-177)

Class 5: Chapters 21 - 25 (pages 178-222)

Class 6: Chapters 26 - 30 (pages 223-265)

Class 7: Chapters 31 - 36 (pages 266-310)

Class 8: Chapters 37 - Epilogue (pages 311-357)
All students will need a copy of Namesake by Adrienne Young!
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The main character does not have a "cookie-cutter" style relationship with her parents and there will be plenty of adventure and possible fighting scenes throughout the story.
