In this one-time class, students will be learning easy nail art and a brief history of nail polish while painting their nails with their peers.

Class Experience

During this one-time class, students will spend time painting their nails and learning about the history of nail polish. Learners will be introduced to some simple nail-art tricks and hacks. Students can also share how they like to paint their nails. During this class, students will also be introduced to the history of nail polish. 

Why did people start using nail polish? What did people use before OPI, Essie, or Sally Hansen? What colors of nail polish were banned and why? How long have human beings been painting their nails?

All these questions will be answered and MORE! Please bring your favorite nail polish—let’s get creative! Make sure to have a clean and safe place to paint your nails. Also, be ready to talk about current nail styles and learn some really cool nail polish history. Time to get colorful!

Supply List
Please be ready to paint those nails! Bring your favorite nail polish and let's have fun! A base coat, a nail color (or 2 OR 10!), and a quick-dry top coat would be great!

Make sure to have a clean and safe area to paint your nails and bring paper towels. Also, we will be learning some simple and fun nail art tricks so bring a bobby pen (as a dotting tool), scotch tape, and a paper plate (or something safe to put nail polish on!).

Our mission at Stronger Foundations Tutoring Co. is to provide high-quality, online tutoring services that prioritize joyful learning and help students build a strong academic foundation. Stronger Foundations Tutoring Co. founder, Miss Katie Lunsford, is very excited to continue to offer excellent one-on-one tutoring experiences for every child. Katie has been teaching online since June 2019 and has specialized her education focus to be online.  She graduated with her Masters in Education in curriculum and instruction with a focus on eLearning from SNHU in 2022. Miss Katie believes that amazing things can happen in the online classroom. She received her BA in Elementary Education from Purdue University in 2009. She holds a current teaching license in the state of Indiana for grades K-6. She also holds a current Reading Endorsement. Miss Katies also works full-time for an online virtual school teaching first grade. She has specialized in online learning with  her almost four years of experience teaching online and her Master’s degree in eLearning. Miss Katie is constantly attending professional development and learning new technologies, techniques, and platforms that I can incorporate in my virtual classroom.

Miss Lauren: 
Hello there, my name is Miss Lauren! Welcome to my classroom where every student has a purpose, value, voice, and place!  With a Masters of Science in Mathematics Education from University of Central Florida, as well as a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education, it is my passion to break down foundational skills in language and math to better equip learners to succeed.  Upon graduation, I traveled abroad homeschooling families for a year, taught English and Empower Girl classes in remote villages in the Dominican Republic, composed curriculum and collaborated with an organization in Africa, tutored middle and high school students in math, as well as having taught various character building lessons over the years.  More recently, I taught ESL online to students in China and have enjoyed all the amazing connections I have made across the world!  It brings me joy to encourage and empower youth to become all that they are created to be, and it is my hope your student leaves my classroom inspired and confident in their learning.

My name is Miss Heather. I have been in education since 2006. I have my master's degree in online instruction. My teaching philosophy is to engage learners and have fun while learning. I look forward to partnering with you in helping your child to succeed in building a stronger foundation in their education.

Hey friends! My name is Mrs. Caudle. I am a certified elementary teacher and I have been teaching online for 4 years. I believe in meeting the needs of the WHOLE child. I understand that educational outcomes are dependent on creating a safe and welcoming learning environment, and I do just that! My mission is to ensure that every child succeeds and feels proud of their accomplishments. 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3-year-old son. We love watching movies, playing games, and going on outside adventures.
