Nailed It! Art History With Vincent Van Gogh
Based off of the original cooking series, "Nailed It!" but with painting.We will be learning about the history of Vincent Van Gogh, his painting style, and have fun replicating on one of his works of art, paying attention to details.

We will have a discussion about the famous artist, Vincent Van Gogh and his work. This will largely be done through a slide show. We will look at several different paintings and students will be asked what they see. During this portion each learner is given an opportunity to talk. Then they will be shown a specific painting and spend the majority of the class re-creating that painting. While you will be asked to replicate the painting the best to your ability, please know this class is for fun and learners are encouraged to use their own creative style or spin on the painting. There is no bad art work! In the last 5-10 mins of class students will individually share their work with the class.
Learning Goals
Students will be learning about the life and works of Vincent Van Gogh, his painting style, paying specific attention to details, and get the opportunity to express themselves creatively through their art work.

A small canvas or poster board paint brushes paints (preferrably acrylic) or water colors
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
