Explore the exciting myths and legends of Easter bunnies, foxes, and roosters. How are these animals connected to the holiday of Easter? By the end of this fun and educational class, learners will be able to answer questions, including: Is it true that in Switzerland, children go on hunts for chocolate eggs left by the Easter Cuckoo Bird? In Germany, is it traditional to make a little nest of hay and moss for the Easter Fox? Should I write a letter to the Easter bunny and leave carrots out the night before Easter? Where did the legends of the Easter Rooster and the Easter Stork begin? Learners will be active participants in a lively discussion about the interesting myths and legends of Easter bunnies and several other animals. At the end of this interactive conversation, learners will make an Easter artwork. We will complete the class by sharing our Easter bunny art. *If there is a different date/time that would work better than the available sections, please send me a message. I am more than happy to accommodate.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. My mom taught at a bilingual elementary school in the South Bronx. I always admired the way she spent countless hours preparing for classes and the way she loved her job. I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps.
Most of my eight years of teaching has been in the museum education field. I have taught hands-on arts classes in science, art, and history museums in Florida and Massachusetts, as well as abroad in Costa Rica.
I live in Florida with my husband and our cat, Patrick. I have a B.A. in Art History degree as well as a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Florida. Additionally, while I was working in a history museum in Boston, I took evening classes in Art Education at Harvard.
I believe that learning should always be engaging and fun. My experience has taught me that most children learn and retain information the best when the lesson is hands-on. My classes have educational topics that incorporate an arts and crafts activity.
I look forward to the opportunity to teach your children in a fun and creative way. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
