Welcome! In this installment of Mythology story time, we will be discussing stories centered around LGBTQIA+ characters. These stories will be discussed from a secular point of view, with no favoritism being shown to any specific story. Week 1: Apollo (Greek/Roman) Week 2: Baron Samedi (Voodoo) Week 3: Hi'iaka (Polynesian) Week 4: Ungud (Australia Aboriginal), Bathala (Phillipines), and Loki (Norse), ("Trans/Gender Non-Conforming") Students will experience storytelling around these myths and will be able to ask questions and discuss their components with classmates. Discussion points may include topics such as morality, identity, and creating connections between all of these stories. Discussions will be teacher led in terms of question topics, but students are urged to participate as much as possible in these discussions.
