In this one-time advanced art course, students will learn drawing techniques to sketch a realistic mythical dragon full body portrait. #CREATIVE

Class experience

1. Students will learn techniques for sketching a proportionate contour drawing (outline) of a dragon.
2. Students will learn techniques for smooth blending, pencil application, gradient blending, and adding contrast.
3. Students will learn techniques for sketching scales.
4. Students will learn techniques for sketching wings.
Homework Offered
If students do not finish their dragon portraits in class, I encourage them to finish outside of class. Please note that the scaly texture on the skin can be time consuming, so it is very possible that students would need to finish this outside of the designated class time.

Students will be assessed throughout class and at the end of class through questions and sharing of drawings.
