Class Experience

Students will understand how research, hypothesize, test and present a theory. Students will understand how the nervous system communicates with the brain, discover reaction time, and learn interesting facts about human reaction times and ninjas.
MythBusters has been an elective class I have taught for the past 2 years at school. It is so fun as it blends science and real world skills in so many ways! I also teach this lesson in an ongoing course about MythBusters in Outschool!
Students will be asked to create and test an experiment between class 2 and 3. Students should come to class 3 prepared to present their experiment results.
A 12 inch ruler A bag of small snacks (goldfish, raisins, m&m's, etc)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed during the presentation of their experiment and through class discussion.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
We will be learning about arrows, ninja's and tossing a snack into the air to catch in our mouths!
