Class Experience
There's nothing like fun mysteries to generate authentic inference and conversation! **Please check the schedule below to see what "Cases" we will be doing each week. :)** In this ongoing class, students will explore a new mystery story each week. After reading, discussing, and exploring the mystery students will have a chance to discuss their theories with each other and guess the culprit through a guided conversation. Finally, the resolution to the case is revealed at the end of class....
Inferencing Skills Speaking & Listening Skills Observing Text Clues Using Background Knowledge Critical Thinking Respectful Discussion Skills
No homework or prep work is required for this class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
