In this winter camp, students will create an informational book about a winter holiday they celebrate. They will be writing about traditions they have when they celebrate this holiday. By the end of this course, students will: - Define a tradition. - Brainstorm traditions they have during a winter holiday. - Write an organized paragraph about different traditions they have. - Create an informational booklet.
There is no homework assigned in this course. If students do not complete the writing during class, they may finish it after class. After the course is over, students are encouraged to share their booklet with someone at home.
Students will need the following materials for class: - Handout (This will be posted in the classroom before each class.) - Pencil - Notebook or Writing Paper - Color Crayons
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
