Losing a tooth can be exciting! Let's talk about wiggly and missing teeth while also learning about different tooth traditions from around the world. What do children do with their newly lost teeth? Join me to find out!

Class experience

This class is taught in English.
The goal of this class is for students to learn more about how different cultures celebrate losing a tooth in different ways.
I was a first grade and second grade teacher for over 17 years and know how much young learners love talking about their "wiggly teeth" :). During my first year of teaching, I had a student who shared with me their family tradition of throwing their baby teeth under the oven for a rat to take it. This tradition intrigued me. Since then, I have learned about many other tooth traditions around the globe. I have a BA in elementary education with a minor in history. I also have extensive training in cultural diversity and am TESL certified. I love teaching all subjects but most of all, I love teaching young learners about the world around them!
Paper and a pencil and/or crayons, or colored pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
