Class Experience
This course is all about creativity! We will be reading the book Monster Academy by Jane Yolen & Heidi E.Y. Stemple, Illustrated by John McKinley and drawing our own monster. Our learners will be encouraged to use their creativity, this will be free hand drawing. I will not be teaching how to draw a monster, but will encourage our learners to draw a monster however they would like and envision one! We will be creating names for our monsters and build their backstory- where do they live? What...
This class is taught in English.
Learners in this class will learn to build a story while using their own creative ideas, work on listening to their peers when someone is sharing and how to take turns.
As we will be drawing a monster (this will be a free draw activity, I will be not be teaching how to draw a monster) each student will need a piece of paper and whatever they like to draw with- crayons, colored pencils, markers.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
