Class experience
This course is all about creativity! We will be reading the book Monster Academy by Jane Yolen & Heidi E.Y. Stemple, Illustrated by John McKinley and drawing our own monster. Our learners will be encouraged to use their creativity, this will be free hand drawing. I will not be teaching how to draw a monster, but will encourage our learners to draw a monster however they would like and envision one! We will be creating names for our monsters and build their backstory- Where do they live? What...
This class is taught in English.
Learners in this class will learn to build a story while using their own creative ideas, work on listening to their peers when someone is sharing and how to take turns.
As we will be drawing a monster (this will be a free draw activity, I will be not be teaching how to draw a monster) each student will need a piece of paper and whatever they like to draw with- crayons, colored pencils, markers.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
