My Spanish Spot: Semi-private Lessons for Learning Spanish Through Stories

Class size will be kept at a maximum of 4 students in order to ensure individualized attention. Enjoy seeing and talking to a recurring group of friends every week! We will learn new Spanish vocabulary words together while hearing, saying and reading them during our story time.

Class Experience

In this ongoing class we will increase our Spanish vocabulary through stories written, illustrated...

-Learners will acquire new vocabulary
-Learners will perfect pronunciation 
-Learners will interact in Spanish with teacher and other learners
-Learners will cultivate an appreciation for stories in other languages
-Learners willl begin reading in Spanish

Maestra Zia is a native Spanish speaker and has two degrees from the University of Puerto Rico. She lived on the island for over 20 years and has worked with the Department of Education there teaching children from Kindergarten through High school. She has also successfully raised fully bilingual children of her own. 
Maestra Zia greatly enjoys providing simultaneous interpretation for the Hispanic and English-speaking community where she lives.

Any pertinent printouts or materials that could be needed will be posted to the classroom.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
