Description
Class Experience
During this class, two learning goals will be addressed: -Students will be able identify the at least two of six personality types: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional. -Students will be able to explain their career interest.
I am a certified school counselor in two states and have nine years of experience as a middle school counselor. Additional, I am National Board Certified Teacher in the field of School Counseling. I am passionate about career development and believe that all children should be exposed to numerous career options. I have taught over 3,500 student the importance of career development and facilitated student discussions about personality types and career options.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
During this class we will be using the website NCcareers.org. NC Careers is a career exploration site that is intended to help students discover various careers. Students do not need an account to use the site. Students will complete the short personality survey on the same website. Students will not be leaving the NCcareers.org website for this class.
