This class is taught in English.

-learn and build the shape and location of each state 
-build a sign to remember each capital city
-identify and build popular USA landmarks
-record fun facts about the states in the book and quill
-create and program a command block for teleportation

I have taught over 5,000 students on Outschool and countless others outside the platform. I love using Minecraft to teach my students as it is filled with endless possibilities to learn reading, chemistry, coding, and more! For this class, I have created unique and engaging activities that will get students excited about practicing USA geography and bring them one step closer to mastering their states and capitals! I have worked with students with a variety of learning differences and I have strategies to engage each student. I am a homeschool mom of 3 with 10+ years of experience including teaching students with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, PDA and more.

Homework Offered
Students will be building the states and labeling signs with each state name and capital city. It is not required to share screenshots of the build, but those who submit will receive feedback on their work.

Class supports unique learning needs as it uses a familiar game - Minecraft! Students complete projects inside their game. As a teacher with ADHD, I use multiple techniques to ensure the class is highly engaging for neurodivergent students.

Students should be comfortable building in Minecraft creative mode and be able to place blocks and navigate around the Minecraft world.
