-read, build, and share sight words -have FUN in Minecraft -make friends with other Minecraft fans
I have taught over 4,500 students on Outschool and countless others outside the platform. I love working with students of many different abilities including autism and ADHD. I understand the ADHD brain since I have one myself, and I keep class engaging and fun for students. Minecraft is a highly preferred topic in my house and a great way to introduce or reinforce school subjects like reading.
-device with Minecraft -printable list of sight words -Minecraft toys or books you might want to show and tell
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will need a device ready to play Minecraft. Any version of Minecraft will work for this class. It is ideal for the student to use a separate device for our class meeting. However, it is ok to use the same device for the meeting and the Minecraft game if they know how to screen share. Each student will be working in their individual world to build the sight words. We will not be playing in a server or realm together. There will be no need to share gamertags.
Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved or associated with Mojang.
I have been teaching on Outschool since 2020 and have taught over 5,000 students. **I received the Outschool Best in Class Award in 2022** Check out this video where I was featured on an episode of Outschool Live:...
