My Minecraft Halloween Mystery Escape the Candy Golem: Creative Design Projects!

The Minecraft villagers are just about to go trick or treating with Steve and Alex when they discover there is a dangerous new mob in town: the Candy Golem! He's hoarding all of the candy and threatens to cancel trick or treat! Now students must work together to defeat the Candy Golem and bring back trick or treat for the entire village. 

Students will be given a printable packet with puzzles and clues to work through together to figure out the mystery. I will be the guide for the students as they solve the mystery. I will share my screen and help them work out the clues as needed. Puzzles include deciphering patterns, completing design projects, counting and graphing, etc all with a Minecraft theme. 

You do not need to know how to play Minecraft to join the class. Students will be encouraged to work out the answers on their own and share with the class by raising hands and using chat. There will also be opportunities for active role play throughout the class pertaining to our mystery.

We will not be playing inside Minecraft so you will not need your Minecraft device nor will you need to share gamertags.

By the end of our class, we will defeat the Candy Golem and celebrate a Halloween tradition together by trick or treating for the creative candies we all designed in class.
