Minecraft is a safe, fun and educational game provided all of the parental controls have been set up properly. I can help with that and more! This is an introductory class truly for beginners in Minecraft. I will help you get started with the very basics of setup.  

Even if you have some experience in Minecraft, you will enjoy this class for all of the tips and tricks I will show you. Check out the syllabus to see the details of what we will cover....

Each day I will share a new video of me showing you how to do these projects. Students will post pictures and videos of their work in the classroom, and I will provide feedback and answer questions via messages and video.

If you are using a different device, but are certain you have bedrock edition reach out and send me a message as this class might work for you as well. I teach from an iPad, but I can be flexible if you already know how to use the controls on your Nintendo Switch for example. Thanks so much!

-visit the marketplace and learn how to be wise in acquiring new maps and items
-start off being organized to save yourself storage hassles in the future
-be introduced to some fun Minecraft content creators for future tutorials, etc

Syllabus

28 Lessons

over 4 Weeks

Lesson 1:

Introduction and settings

 -make sure you are the only person playing in your own world 
-understand the difference between creative and survival mode and choose where to play 
-create a world that is totally flat 
-make sure no monsters will appear in your game 
-prevent TNT from exploding to destroy your builds 
-help you name and organize your worlds to optimize storage

Lesson 2:

Controls, movement, inventory, search

 -choose the time of day in your world 
-control the weather while you play 
-locate and use the search feature to find any blocks that you need 
-unlock a special version of Minecraft called Education Edition which gives you access to periodic table blocks and more

Lesson 3:

Placing and breaking items, building, spawning animals

 Learn how to start building and spawn pets

7 mins of video lessons

Lesson 4:

Taming a dog

 You can even put your new pet on a leash

Learning Needs

This class is intentionally designed for students with unique learning needs. As a neurodivergent educator, I offer a wide variety of multi sensory activities to support many different learning styles such as ADHD, autism and more!

You can find that here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/minecraft/id479516143 You will not need to share your username with me since we will not play together in this class. I teach this class using an iPad, but if you use Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox or other Minecraft Bedrock device, I can give specific information about how to use those controls as well.
