How can you earn money as a teen? The possibilities are endless! Join us as we discuss strategies to earn money at any age including entrepreneurship (starting your own business), passive income and getting your first job.

Class Experience

I am a licensed social studies educator and homeschooling parent with a passion for personal finance. I am certified to teach economics, and have a strong knowledge in debt reduction strategies, budgeting and saving. Over the past few years I have educated myself on the principles of Financial Independence and our family is now debt free! When it comes to income, I have a lot of research and life experience to share. In particular, I earned money as a teen in a variety of ways and currently own my own educational consulting company. I also founded a successful local branch of a non-profit organization in my community. I wish someone had shared more financial tips with me when I was younger and I am excited about sharing what I have learned with you!

Having fun while we learn is so important! I focus on keeping the classroom environment accepting of all students while delving into these important topics.

0No materials are needed for the course. Having a pen and paper is helpful for note taking. Learners will be provided with the course notes and resources to explore after class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
One of the after class assignments is for students to chat with caregivers about what they have learned and share and discuss their ideas for earning income. To aid caregivers with this conversation, all of our notes and resources from the class will be posted in the classroom so that you can check them out with your learner.
