My Marvellous Mind! Gratitude for Well-Being and Positive Thinking Social Class for Life Skills
What's included
1 live meeting
25 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this fun weekly wellbeing class we will learn about gratitude and begin to explore the things we are grateful for in our daily lives. We will learn about what gratitude is and how it can help us to feel good. We will have a gratitude picture to complete each week which could then be saved and kept together to make a gratitude journal at home. A template for the gratitude picture will be provided in the classroom page for parents to print before class. In each class the teacher will encourage children to think of something they have enjoyed doing that week and write or draw a small picture about this on a note pad. This can then be added to a gratitude jar. Each week we will discuss a different thing in our lives we are grateful for. We will have a weekly theme that we will discuss and learners can draw a picture related to the theme. For example over the weeks we will draw a picture of our family, our home, our favourite place to go, a friend who is special to us, our favourite food etc. Time permitting we will end each class with a fun gratitude song. Week 1 theme: family, Week 2 theme: friends, Week 3 theme: home Week 4 theme: favourite place Week 5 theme: favourite food Week 6 theme: favourite drink Week 7 theme: favourite game Week 8 theme: favourite toy Week 9 theme: favourite sport Week 10 theme: favourite animal

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone! My name is Catherine and I am an experienced primary school teacher from the UK. I have a BA Honours degree in Structured Textiles and a PGCE degree in Primary Education. For the last 7 years I have been a certified teacher of early years education.
I currently teach part time in a primary school. During the rest of the week I teach here on Outschool.
I am up to date with the current curriculum requirements and I have extensive experience of teaching synthetic phonics, mathematics and mindfulness lessons using a scheme called Mind Up in my Primary School.
I absolutely love teaching on this platform and having the opportunity to meet young learners from all over the world. It is my passion to provide fun and engaging learning opportunities whilst helping children to grow in confidence and believe in themselves.
I offer a caring and welcoming learning environment where I help children to feel happy and safe. I am a motivated, enthusiastic and loving teacher who will help your child to grow in confidence whilst having fun learning new things.
My specialism is teaching literacy through synthetic phonics and I am excited to offer a variety of fun phonics lessons in which children can become secure in recognising letters and their sounds. Children will use multi sensory approaches to learn phonics through exciting games and learning activities.
I love spending time outdoors and visiting new places with my family. I am a Mum to a toddler who is turning 3 this year. She loves exploring the world around her and it is beautiful to see her excitement as she is learning about her world.
I am so excited to meet your little ones! Please take a look at the range of classes I offer. I offer both group and individual classes and I am flexible to schedule requests. I look forward to hearing from you soon and meeting your little one. π₯°
