US Grade 2 - 5
This My Hero Academia themed class will focus on multiplication tables and trivia questions. Hey citizens, are you interested in taking an "entrance exam" to get into U.A.? Well, if you are like the 20% who do not have a "quirk" , there may be hope for you. Perhaps you can meet up with Eraserhead or you can meet me, Mr. Colvin, and I will give you part of my "quirk" - math skills. This class will start by showing two cards and multiplying the two cards. Students will interact with the instructor and are expected to perform at a target of 80% or better. Each student will take turns and student performance will determine the higher level. Soon, more than two cards will be drawn and the student will be expected to multiply the three or more cards together. Have a calculator or multiplication chart nearby so as to answer the more challenging questions. You know, after getting to U.A, the students of Class 1-A must determine if they are fit to be heroes or not. Well, good news. You can be a "hero" with Mr. Colvin, yet it is going to take practice. Students will learn multiplication practice skills by using cards. Ace=1, positive and negative, we will practice. The students along with the instructor will flip two or more cards and multiply. This class will be in how to tackle the times tables. Students will learn practice strategies with cards. Students will interact with Mr. Colvin, and obtain a part of this math quirk. However, students, you must practice. This class will give you strategies to practice and master times tables. The target performance will be to score 80% or higher on the multiplication times tables card questions. That means, a student must answer 8 or more out of every 10 questions correctly. Students will interact with the instructor and get the strategies to learn the times tables and then practice at home. If you need to develop some skills and like My Hero Academia, then please take my class.
