Introduction (5 minutes) We'll start class with a fun introduction question for each student. Next, we'll introduce the five senses and determine each student's existing knowledge of the topic. Teacher modeling (10 minutes) Next, we'll dive into our lesson. We'll read the book 'My Five Senses' to begin. After that, we'll discuss and experience each sense together! Guided Practice (10 minutes) Next we'll practice what we've learned by playing a special 'My Five Senses' version of 'Simon Says'! Then, we'll end class with our worksheet to review our lesson.

Supply List
A one-page worksheet will be provided. Please print the worksheet and provide your child a crayon or pencil or write with. Students will also need a very small amount of a salty snack (like one pretzel or one goldfish) and an item that is soft (like a sweater or a stuffed animal).
