Class Experience
In this introduction to playing the piano, students will learn about the parts of the piano. The students will practice playing on the black keys with finger numbers, and learn how to play their very first song! I provide an encouraging and fun environment for students to explore their own piano and learn to play. This class is designed for the youngest beginners with no prior knowledge of playing the piano.
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn the names of some of the parts of a piano. Students will learn how sit at their own piano, and how to place their hands on the keys. They will practice tracing their hands, and numbering their fingers. They will learn how to play a tune on the black keys.
Practice tracing your hands at home and numbering your fingers. You can also practice your song so you can play smoothly and fluently.
Learners need their own piano or keyboard to play on, a pencil, and a piece of paper. Young learners may need assistance tracing their hands.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
